$100 off registration fee now through April 23, 2014.
{Live Creative} is about living the life that you really want and that feels right for you. It’s about coloring outside the lines, peeling back the layers to get to the real you, and living out your dreams – even when your own inner critic is holding you back or telling you that you’re not ready.
Get ready to take a journey.
A journey to explore one of the world’s most unique and beautiful islands, and more importantly… a journey to explore you.
This retreat is about self-exploration. It’s an opportunity for you to step away from your everyday norm to explore who you really want to be, what you really want to do in life, and what tends to hold you back from pursuing your dreams.
Is there a book in you waiting to be birthed? Have you always dreamed of starting your own business or non-profit? Do you want to do work that you feel more connected to, but you’re just not sure what that might look like? Do you just want more courage to simply be you…the real you?
Through all of the day-to-day tasks, to-dos and responsibilities, it’s often hard to take a step back and focus on you, and even more so on who you really want to be and what you really want to do. We so easily get caught up in living a life that someone else wants for us, or that we thought we wanted for ourselves years ago, but we’ve lost touch or never really had the space to determine what we really want for ourselves now.
This is your chance to do that.
Join participants from around the world for this unique opportunity to explore another culture and country, while also exploring who you really want to be and what you really want to do in life.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to attend sessions that will help you identify what you really want in life and how you can live that out.
We’ll also explore the barriers that often hold so many of us back from living the life we really want – like our own inner critic that says we can’t do something or we’re not ready.
The sessions will focus on different topics and you’ll be guided through self-exploratory exercises, along with group discussion and private reflection time.
In addition to the group sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to meet with Wyokemia one-on-one at a scheduled time during the week for an individual coaching session.
Our morning sessions will run for approximately two hours, and we’ll also have a shorter evening session a few nights during the week. Highlights of the content of our sessions include:
- Your Inner Critic: This is your opportunity to really understand what your inner critic is and the impact it’s had on your life (Hint: It’s probably held you back from doing a lot of things you dream of doing.) We’ll explore how to identify it, how it manifests in your life, and how to manage it so it doesn’t continue to hold you back from following your dreams.
- Your Foundation: Identify and understand what really makes you happy and thrive, and determine how you’re living or not living that out in your life right now. (Get ready… there will be some surprises here.)
- Defining and Clarifying Your Goals: Now that you know what you really want in life, how are you going to make it happen. Action is key, and we’ll set you up with a game-plan to take home to kick-start the life you really want.
- Intentional Living: What does that really mean? And, how can you move forward living a more intentional life.
- Art Journaling: A brief introduction to Art Journaling and how to use it to explore new ideas and thoughts. (You don’t have to be “artsy” to art journal! It’s really something everyone can do, and you’ll be amazed at what new insights it’ll give you.)
- Yoga and meditation: We’ll explore how these two practices can have an impact on your life. Inner peace, mental clarify, general well-being. Everyone’s experience with yoga and meditation is different. This is your chance to explore how it can fit into your life.
We will have an intimate group of no more than ten participants, so that you have an opportunity to get to know other participants and share and support each other in your journeys.
In addition to the core sessions that we’ll hold daily, you’ll also have a beautiful villa space with a pool to use at your leisure, amazing meals prepared by our very own on-site chef, gentle yoga in the morning to start your day, an introduction to meditation class, an on-site gym if you want to get a work-out in, organized outings to explore the island and its culture, quick access to the local beach (just a five minute walk away), and plenty of white space throughout the week to just be.

A Special Note from Me (the Retreat Facilitator!)
I am so glad that you’re considering participating in this retreat. I have a deep passion for travel and its ability to help you learn more not only about the world, but also about yourself.
Although I lived in Germany for nearly eight years as a child (Army kiddo), nothing prepared me for the life-changing experience I went through when I lived and volunteered in Malawi, Africa. From the moment I stepped off that massive jet in the middle of the airport’s tiny runway in Lilongwe (Malawi’s capital), my life was changed.
I wanted to soak in everything around me – the culture, the people, the lifestyle, and the beauty of this foreign land. At the same time, I couldn’t help but go inward and I naturally began to do a lot of self-reflecting on my own life.
My experience in Malawi really brought to life for me the importance of what I like to call: Life outside yourself. Getting out of your everyday norm – the community you’ve lived in for years, the same people with the same ideas that you’ve talked to for ages – and really experiencing something different.
And, when you do that something amazing happens. Just by nature of being in a new environment, you begin to notice that things become clearer for you in your own life – what you really want to do in life; who you really want to be; and what’s most important to you.
It really is with joy that I bring you this retreat. This retreat is the intersection of two of my loves: travel and self-exploration. I hope you’ll come along for the journey. It’s for you.
Additional information: I have traveled to over 20 countries, and I’ve lived on four continents. I’m a trained Life Coach with five years of experience in the field, and I have 15 years of experience working both domestically (U.S.A.) and internationally in the non-profit and government sectors.
